Who utilizes Freedom Outfitters Firearm Transfer services?

  • Those who sell personal (outbound shipments) firearms on GunBroker or other 3rd party platforms.

Transferring a Firearm TO Freedom Outfitters (Purchases)

A $47.00 processing fee + $5.00 background check is charged for completing the process start to finish.

  1. Email us at Ecom@FDMOutfitters.com to obtain a copy of our FFL, then provide our FFL to the shipper of the outbound firearm
  2. Obtain a copy of the FFL from which the firearm is shipping from and provide to us at Ecom@FDMOutfitters.com
  3. Provide to us the name, phone, and email of the person who will be completing the background check and acquiring the firearm into their final possession.

Transferring a Firearm FROM Freedom Outfitters

FFL to FFL outbound transfers cost $50 for handguns and $100 for long guns. The charge includes all processing, logging, item handling, packing, shipping, and includes the cost of freight within the lower 48 at no additional charge. Optional shipping insurance is offered for $5.00 + ($2.00 per $100 of insured value).

  1. Provide a copy of the physical FFL for the dealer that we are transferring your firearm to
  2. Notify the receiving FFL that they will be receiving a firearm from Freedom Outfitters on your behalf.
  3. Provide to us, your name, phone, and email.
  4. Provide to us the name, phone, and email of the person who will be completing the background check and acquiring the firearm into their final possession.

In-Store Person to Person Transfers

When completing an in-store person to person transfer both the buyer and the seller should appear at the store together at the same time. This is not required, Freedom Outfitters is able to receive the firearm from the seller and hold it until the purchaser arrives separately. For speed and ease of processing it is recommended that both the buyer and seller are present at the same time though.

Information needed from Seller:

  • Seller name and state issued ID (we can receive a firearm from any state ID)
  • Physical firearm being transferred

Information needed from Buyer:

  • Buyer name and Pennsylvania state issued ID - We can only complete background checks and firearm processing services to Pennsylvania buyers.
  • Buyer must meet all of the criteria required to pass a firearms background check.

A $47.00 processing fee + $5.00 background check is charged for completing the process start to finish. This fee is typically paid by the purchaser of the firearm but can be negotiated between buyer and seller.
